1980 - Moved to Washington, DC. Worked as
Executive Secretary to the Senior VP of
Corporate Affairs, USAir (Crystal City)
Became engaged, but later decided not to
marry.
1986 - Married Norm Kerns, USAir Captain and lived
in Washington, DC area
1989 - Norm took early retirement and we moved
to New Smyrna Beach, FL.
1997 - Tired of early retirement and went back to
work, this time as Administrative Assistant
to the Administrator at Bert Fish Medical
Center.
1999 - Divorced Norm, but continue to live in New
Smyrna Beach, FL
2001 - Reduced my hours to part-time and
worked as Administrative Assistant to the
Director of the Lab at Bert Fish.
Retired December 31, 2014 at age 72

- I live in a small, but lovely community called
Century Woods in New Smyrna Beach.
- Most weekends play golf at the NSB golf course
- Enjoy kayaking, working in my garden, reading in
my garden, going to movies, etc. with friends
and going out to dinner or entertaining friends at
my home.
- I still enjoy some traveling but have become
more of a "home body" over the years. Wouldn't
mind going to Greece. I loved Italy but never
made it to Greece.
- I have a Maltese named Bailey and four rescued cats--
Charlie, Hunter, Chico and Possum.
- In 2017 I moved to Newport News, VA to share a home with my sister Gail.
Gail, her three sons and four grandchildren are all the family I have left.

Now, at 81, I still love to spend as much time as possible outdoors. Back problems have taken my golfing days away but I still manage to ride my bike and putter around in my garden.

One of my high school memories is about Sue Wallace. She loved to chew bubble gum but didn't like to start a new piece. It was "too hard to chew", she said. So she would give me a new piece of bubble gum, have me chew it for a few minutes to soften it, and then give it back to her to chew!
